Hajra Arshad
Hajra Arshad is a public health professional with around seven years of experience in mental health and vaccine advocacy. She holds a Masters in Psychology and an MS in Public Health and has completed various short courses including Field Epidemiology Training short course (FETP). She worked as a master trainer in infection prevention and control during the pandemic and developed an infection prevention and control course curriculum for health care professionals and she also contributed as master trainer for the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program in Pakistan.
Hajra has a strong background in public mental health, actively promoting mental health awareness and support within various communities. She is a technical officer with the National Institutes of Health Pakistan (NIH) and is working on another grant project with health research institute at NIH. Additionally, she is core member of a rapid response team program in Pakistan. She has work experience with numerous international funding agencies such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, CDC and John Snow Inc. In her role as a behavior change manager with COVID-19 vaccine uptake program, she focused on vaccine acceptance, uptake and advocating.
Hajra also served as a member of the national team at the National Command and Operation Center during and after the pandemic. She combines practical experience and academic knowledge to enhance public health strategies, particularly in mental health, infectious disease control, and vaccine advocacy.
