Edgar Linwa
Edgar Linwa is a seasoned medical practitioner with seven years of clinical experience, possessing a deep understanding of patient care. His academic pursuits, culminating in an impending MRes in Clinical Research from King’s College London (2024), underscore his commitment to evidence-based practice and scholarly inquiry. With a distinguished publication record of 34 peer-reviewed articles and an h-index of 3, Edgar has made significant contributions to the understanding of critical health issues prevalent in Cameroon. His research portfolio encompasses a broad spectrum, including non-communicable diseases like hypertension, and infectious diseases like malaria and pneumonia in vulnerable children. As the Head of Community Research at Rural Doctors, Edgar has a unique vantage point into the healthcare challenges faced by underserved populations. This experience, coupled with his academic expertise, positions him as a thought leader in designing and implementing community-based research initiatives that address real-world problems such as vaccine acceptance and inform evidence-based policies.
